Hey {{first_name|there}},

Most people know me from Instagram or the podcast.

What most people don't see is what takes up the majority of my year.

Tim Gray at the Health Optimisation Summit London 2026

Every year, my team and I spend twelve months in the background.

Vetting hundreds of brands to find the ones actually worth your attention. Researching and approaching speakers who are doing the most interesting work in health right now.

Building something that I hope, when you walk through the doors, feels completely different from anything else you've attended.

That's HOS. The Health Optimisation Summit. And last weekend, we did it again.

4,250 people filled the venue in London for three days. We sold out. Again.

I met so many of you. Loyal followers, health advocates, people who've been on this journey with me for years.

Seeing everyone in the same room, having the conversations that don't happen anywhere else, reminded me exactly why this is my year-round purpose.

Something I keep coming back to after a weekend like this: we all want to be healthy.

But optimisation isn't about doing more or pushing harder. It means finding the most efficient route to where you want to go. That's it.

By definition, you can't over-optimise. You can only optimise well or optimise poorly.

And optimising poorly almost always means doing too much, not too little.

Which is why this week, I'm doing very little.

Sleeping a bit earlier.
Getting outside.
Grounding.
Eating on time.
Hydrating.
Spending less time on my phone.

Nothing extreme. That's the point.

When you've pushed hard, recovery isn't a break from optimisation. It's part of it.

Thank you to everyone who came. And to everyone who's been following along from a distance, I hope to see you in the room next year.

One thing worth doing this week

Sit down and reflect on the best moments from the past month. Not just this weekend if you came to HOS, but any conversation, insight or experience that shifted something for you.

Write them down before they fade.

That reflection is where the real work starts.

Look after yourself,
Tim 💚
